All Fours, a piece in five movements, gives visual expression to the symmetries and tensions of Bartók's String Quartet no. 4 as its 12 dancers explore the various permutations of four-way pursuit among pairs of couples.

In the ultra-high-energy Violet Cavern, 15 dancers seem to defy gravity as they leap and spin amid a spatial symphony of suspended planes created by scenic artist Stephen Hendee. The unique score, commissioned by Morris, is composed and performed by the avant-garde jazz collective The Bad Plus - described by Rolling Stone as "hot players with hard-rock hearts."
