I have attended each one of the Luminato Festivals and every year it gains more fans. I loved it this past summer the 1000 dishes is amazing and the whole family can enjoy the experience together and helps expose so many to the arts. I think it's the best part of summer!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm really excited to see everything this year!!!!!!!!

I especially was excited by last year's free concerts featuring Derek Trucks, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Robert Randolph etc. The line-up surpassed the Chicago Bluesfest line-up. I'm looking forward to see and hear this year's offerings...

I missed the children's portion of Luminato. Last year, Dan Zanes was fantastic, and I hope that the organizers got enough positive feedback to bring him back. Toronto families love DZAF.

Just want to say, that I really enjoyed the Luminato events that I attended. Once again everyone did a great job. I only have 1 negative comment, well mostly a suggestion for next year. The Big Band/Swing night.
As a Swing dancer who attended last years AMAZING Count Basie Orchestra event at Dundas Square, and had the time of my life,I was super excited about attending this years event. All my dancer friends were excited and we all headed downtown to show Toronto what "lindy hop" and "Big Band" music is all about.
Sadly, I did not feel that we were able to do that this year. The band that performed was good, don't get me wrong but played very little REAL big band music. We got the beatles, we got Salsa music, we got Country music and we got ABBA. I was waiting for a Bollywood song to round out all the evening.
This disappointed the dancers who were left trying to dance swing to Dancing Queen or just left period.
If you want to showcase the Toronto Swing dancing scene you need a real good REAL Big Band orchestra. Not a band that plays a mesh of music. Something like what you had last year or Toronto Allstar Big Band as an example.
I will say thank you for the hard work in organizing that evening and us swing dancers are greatful that there IS a night for us, BUT maybe next year consult with some of the teachers in town to see what would be a good fit for the evening and then go from there.

Goran Bregovic was an incredible night. I wasn't expecting that many people. Great show. Wow!
