Education & Community Outreach Programs

Building on the Festival’s commitment to accessibility,  the Luminato Education and Community Outreach Programs offer multidisciplinary arts experiences designed  to encourage interactive participation and meaningful engagement with the Festival for all audiences.

Visit the LUMINATE blog to find out more about Luminato Education and Community Outreach Programs.

For the past five years, Luminato has been working with the Regent Park, Parkdale and St. James Town communities, offering artist residencies, workshops, interactive concerts, artist- and author-in-the-school programs and specialized field trips—extending access to the Festival experience.

In the months leading up to the 2012 Festival, more than 350 elementary school students and youth from our partner schools and youth organizations will be involved with Luminato.

“The partnership with Luminato has allowed our students the opportunity to engage with issues related to the complex social conditions they are living through, and build bridges between their communities through the arts.”  – Teacher, TDSB Model Schools for Inner Cities
