In addition to performers from DIYAS Arts & Entertainment and the Tarana Dance Centre, this concert features Bollywood playback singer, lyricist, composer, and arranger Suzanne D’Mello (a.k.a. Suzie Q). Renowned for her work in such Hindi films as Awarapan, Singh is Kinng, and Ghajini, D’Mello is best known in the West for her performance of “Dreams on Fire” and “Latika’s Theme” in Slumdog Millionaire.
Also featured is dancer, choreographer, writer, and vocalist Bageshree Vaze, whose debut album combines Indian classical aesthetics with modern pop music and electronica.
The concert’s host is Husein Madhavji, entertainment correspondent for the Star! TV channel.
