Luminato First Night
Once again, our annual adventure in the realms of art and creativity begins with a fabulous Friday-night celebration in Yonge-Dundas Square, the hub of activity for the Festival’s first six days.
The evening’s theme is “Canadian Divas” and its centrepiece is a free concert featuring some of today’s top female talent. Sharing the bill are Juno Award winners Jully Black and Sass Jordan, as well as Toronto singer-songwriter Melanie Fiona, whose hit singles include “Give it to Me Right” and “It Kills Me,” the latter of which won her a 2010 Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
Dancing isn’t just encouraged, it’s practically mandatory (after all, when a diva demands it, who can resist?), and there’ll be plenty of food and drink at the on-site Mill Street Pub too. You’re invited to enjoy all this and more as we party in the heart of downtown Toronto – a fun-filled start to ten days that will light up your life.
Hosted by Traci Melchor.

This is exciting and best of all FREE!!
I also think that Dundas Square is too small for this event.
