TORONTO (May 8, 2009) – Also part of the Communication | Environment event, David Rokeby's long wave has been extended to June 20. The installation, consisting of 64 red spheres, is currently hanging from the ceiling inside the Allen Lambert Galleria in Brookfield Place. Rokeby's long wave is representative of a modified sine wave, the basic structure of modern wireless communication.
TORONTO (May 8, 2009) -Binary Waves, the interactive art installation by Belgian art collective LAb(au), has been officially cancelled following its lack of approval from Ontario's Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) on Friday, June 5th. The installation was scheduled to appear in front of Commerce Court West at 199 Bay Street for the duration of the
Luminato Festival, June 5 – 14.
Unexpected encounters with art will take you by surprise, let you see the invisible and challenge your notion of inside and outside space.
Linked to a theme of contemporary communications that runs through this year’s Festival, these eye-opening installations by internationally exhibited artists will transform your perceptions of Toronto’s downtown core.
